SECOND EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MOUNTAIN AND ADVENTURE “PICOS DE EUROPA”

The festival comes back with many powerful new features that will turn back to Leon and “Picos de Europa” mountains on stage of the best mountain and adventure film.

A year ago Jesus Calleja (host and presenter) closed the first edition of the Festival, in which more than 4,300 people enjoyed the most spectacular audiovisual productions and presence of the climbers and film directors (not to mention the success of the first workshop of recording given by Emilio Valdés, important recording camera)
And here it is again the International Festival of Mountain and Adventure “Picos de Europa”, ready to revolutionize the city of León! 
Because in this second edition of the program is growing: more movies, the best in the world circuit of festivals, never seen before in Spain, and new sessions devoted to extreme sports, supported by their international success. We will also be back with the presence of VIPs, who have made history in the world of mountaineering, likes Krzysztof Wielicki. He is the fifth man to climb all fourteen eight-thousanders and the first ever to climb Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, and Lhotse in the winterand.
The city of León is dumped back to the Festival and Jesus Calleja, offering the best forums in the city to host the activities that comprise the program: the magnificent Auditorium “Ayuntamiento de León”, who will again be the scene of screenings and talks, and the Museum of Contemporary Art “Castilla y León” (MUSAC) which will host the second workshop of recording
In this edition, the Festival invades the urban scene and penetrates more than ever in the “Picos de Europa” mountains.
